I bought this pair to replace the same exact J&M shoes I've worn for - way too many years, 15+, more?? I've had them resoled/reheeled a few times, the uppers still in great shape and I'd keep wearing them but, my feet grew just a bit in old age! Needed a 1/2 size bigger.My only criticism - the trim is almost red versus maroon and looks cheesy, frankly. I just hit them with black and brown polish though and I think with a couple more applications the red will be a more subtle maroon. Quality shoe, great fit.The first day I wore these I was in New York City. I walked about 90 blocks in one day. The shoes felt comfortable the whole day. The only negative bit was that it was a slightly rainy day and some water did get into the front part of the shoes. I should have put on the rubbers I packed for just that condition, but I didn't think it was needed when I left the hotel. Overall, this is a great looking and comfortable shoe. It's a lot better than the Sperry version of a similar shoe I had worn before, it comes a wide size, and it was only $10 more.I'm goosey about buying wearing apparel over the internet. What if it doesn't fit? How much trouble and expense to send it back? These shoes fit just like I wanted. Quality is excellent. Heels leave marks on hardwood floors but I would not know that if buying in a store so --what the hey !!!Another home run out of the ball park. I have ordered three pairs of these loafers. Unfortunately my dog chewed one pair and I love them so much I ordered a third pair just in case anything goes wrong or my dog gets them or they stop making them. I cannot heap enough prais on this loafer or this company.Those cedar shoe trees definitely extends the life of a genuine leather shoe and when cedar oil is added to the cedar it self as a booster, it's even better for both items. This is a very worth while product and well worth the money invested. I will be buying more of this type of shoe tree,as there the best! Thomas of Augusta Ks.A dressy casual shoe that goes with a suit or jeans regardless of the color of the pants. This is my second pair from J&M. The first pair lasted me 10 years of weekly wearing. Very comfortable shoe and one of the few brands available in Wide widths. Frankly J&M shoes may seem more expensive, but the comfort and durability and timeless styles make J&M prices very competitive.Hey, I love this style of shoe and it is very hard to find....very hard. I know, I know, it says a lot about my taste in clothes, but I am totally rad and the rest of the world can catch up when it can.Love the product which is why I gave it a great rating!!Great quality, but the wide is too narrow for me. I've worn Jonston & Murphy shoes for 25 years and wear a 5E width, the wide isn't wide enough for me. Superb quality though, wish they would have fit.
